DANGER !
Working without a grass collector
Take the grass collector off.
Î
3 The delector lap folds down.
Note
When working without the grass collector,
the grass cuttings are thrown downwards.
Mulching (Fig. S )
During mulching, the grass is cut multiple times
using a special cutting system and fed back into
the ground. This means there is no grass waste.
Moreover mulching protects the lawn against drying
out. The mulched grass contains lots of nutrients.
To obtain optimum results, the grass must be kept
short. You can ind more information in the section
"Lawn care tips".
Note
Depending on the growth of the grass, we
recommend mulching 1 – 2 per week. When
doing so the grass must not be too long or
too moist!
When mulching, push the lawnmower slowly.
Î
Also ensure that the cutting stripes always
Î
overlap.
Do not cut more than 20 mm (0.8") of grass.
Î
Note
If the lawn is mossy or contains lots of
thatch, mulching is not worthwhile because
the grass cuttings remain on the surface of
the moss or thatch and thus cannot be fed
into the ground.
Î
Dethatch and fertilize the lawn regularly.
Activating the mulch function (Fig. S T )
Risk of injuries due to the rotating mower
blade.
¾ Only adjust the lawnmower with the
motor switched off and the mower blade
at a standstill.
The lawnmower is equipped with a
changeover switch (cut-collect/mulch). .
Use this switch to choose between the
functions cut-collect and mulching for
your lawn care.
