INSTALLATION
To be able to receive data via your MiWire
RouDem, you must have a subscription with
a mobile operator. The mobile operator will
send you the SIM card that you need to
connect to the mobile network and access
the internet.
1) Click the SIM card out so it is the size of a
micro SIM card.
2a) Ensure that the micro SIM card is facing
the right way with the angled corner facing
to the left.
2b) Insert the SIM card into the slot on the
bottom of your MiWire RouDem.
3) Click the network cable into place.
The enclosed network cable transmits both
data and power. Click the cable into the
bottom of your RouDem as shown. If a
different length cable is needed, it can be
purchased at
www.miwire.net/da/product/kabel
4) Affix the bottom plate or mounting
bracket with the 5 screws using the supplied
Torx 10 screwdriver.

a click system that makes it easy

The supplied PoE/power adapter
must be placed inside the house. Connect
the network cable from your RouDem to the
adapter.
Always affix the bottom plate or
mounting bracket with the pow-
er adapter already connected!
6a) Using the RouDem directly
If you are close enough to your RouDem, you
can connect directly via Wi-Fi and access the
internet. You can also connect your PC with
the input on the adapter and get a direct
cable connection.
6b) Using the RouDem via router
If your RouDem is placed very high up or if
you need wireless internet in a very large
home, you must connect your adapter to a
regular wireless router for Wi-Fi (not included
here, but most available Wi-Fi routers are
compatible).

8) Optimum positioning
The MiWire RouDem should ideally be
placed outdoors and as high up as possible.
You can place your RouDem on the roof and
run a cable to a Wi-Fi router inside the hou-
se. You can also place your MiWire RouDem
on a pole or a table and use the MiWire
RouDem directly. Remember that it should
always be placed horizontally!
Charging
MiWire RouDem is charged via the power
supply. Full charging takes 6 hours, after
which it can operate for at least 8 hours on
battery power.
Tip!
RouDem is intended for
outdoor use. You will get the
best connection by placing
it outdoors and as high up
as possible. You can always fine-tune the
placing after you have logged on to the
internet and visited the status page.
Please note:
RouDem must be placed horizontally due
to the inbuilt antenna.
RouDem starts automatically if you use
the network cable (which also transmits
power).
If the RouDem is battery powered, turn
it on using the button on the bottom.
After approximately 2 minutes, RouDem
will have found the best cell tower with
internet access.
