5. Troubleshooting
1. The CFR1/CFR1R does not function (DC power) and the fan at the rear is not turning.
- In most vehicles, the ignition has to be switched on for the cigarette lighter to be supplied with current.
2. The ignition is switched on but the CFR1/CFR1R does still not receive power.
- Remove the plug from the socket and check
clean it with a non-metal brush and solvent until the middle contact point is clean.
- Check if the vehicle fuse (normally 15A) for the cigarette lighter isn't burnt-out.
3. The cigarette lighter plug gets very warm.
- Remove the plug from the socket and clean the socket.
- The plug may not have been assembled correctly. Take it to an authorized dealer for repair.
4. The CFR1/CFR1R does not cool satisfactorily and the fan at the rear is not turning.
- The fan motor is probably defective. Take the device to an authorized dealer for repair.
5. The CFR1/CFR1R does not cool satisfactorily but the fan at the rear is working.
- The Peltier element is probably defective. Take the device to an authorized dealer for repair.
! Do not open the device yourself to avoid electroshocks!
