Drum Stands Ki 100/-200/-2002
1.1 Application.
This drum stand enables you to load, transport and store 100 or 200
litre drums in an industrial environment. Suitable for use only an fat, firm
ground of sufficient load-bearing capability.
1.2 Setting up.
After unpacking check to see that all the accessories and extras are
there. Check that all the rollers are correctly fastened; check the drum
safety strap.
1.3 Handling.
Only use drums which are standing upright and are of the correct size,
i.e. 100 or 200 litre depending an the size of stand purchased. Move the
stand to the drum and position it vertically to the drum. Tip the side of
the drum facing the stand gently away by hand and position the stand
runners right under the lower edge of the drum. Lower the drum onto
the runners. Place the safety strap around the drum and fasten the buk-
kle in such a way that the drum is in contact with the rollers provided
for its horizontal position. Place the lever bar with grasping claw for the
drum edge in the front tube and slot into place in such a way that the
claw securely grasps the edge of the drum to prevent it slipping away.
The drum stand can then be raised into the horizontal position with the
help of the lever bar. Due to the design of the lever bar, only slight leve-
rage should be necessary. Remove the lever bar and move the loaded
stand, as required. Take care when the drums are not completely full.
Bear in mind that the load centre will shift when liquids are sloshing
around. Lock both wheel stops when in final position. Keep a safe
distance to sloping surfaces (ramps etc.).
1.4 Maintenance and Testing.
The machine requires basically no maintenance. The rollers, the lever
bar, wheel stops and the safety strap should be regularly checked for
signs of damage, depending on the operating site and conditions. The
machine should be inspected at least once a year to ensure that it is in
good condition. Any faults detected should be recorded, and those
responsible for eliminating faults notified.
