Sunterra pumps are carefully inspected and tested to ensure both safety and
operating performance. However, failure to follow the instructions and warnings
in this manual may result in pump damage and/or serious injury. Be sure to
read and save this manual for future reference.
WARNINGS
1.
To reduce risk of electric shock, connect only to a properly grounded outlet.
2.
To reduce risk of electric shock, inspect cord for damage before installation
and/or maintenance. Replace entire pump/cord assembly if damage is found.
3.
Do not remove the grounding pin from the cord.
4.
Do not exceed voltage shown on pump.
CAUTIONS
1.
Use proper power source as indicated on the water pump label. Keep the
cord away from high temperature or heat source.
2.
Keep fountain out of reach of children.
3.
If in a freeze-area, remove water from Base and Statuette. It is also
recommended to remove and store the Statuette and pump indoors during
freezing conditions.
4.
Always disconnect from electrical outlet before handling the pump.
5.
Do not let pump run dry.
6.
Do not lift the pump by its power cord.
7.
Do not pump heated liquids.
8.
Operate in freshwater only.
9.
Pump must be completely submerged for proper operation and cooling.
10. The pump has not been investigated for use in swimming pool areas.

HINTS & TROUBLESHOOTING
1.
Ensure the pump's flow control switch is set to maximum (+) before operating.
Once flow is established, the pump's flow can be adjusted downward to a
desired level, if maximum is too high.
2.
If the pump operates, but there is no flow, check to ensure the pump is fully
submerged.
3.
If the pump operates, but there is no flow, check the supply tubing for kinks
and correct.
4.
If the pump operates, but there is no flow, and if the pump is submerged and
there are no kinks in the supply tubing, lift the pump from the water. Remove
supply tubing at pump outlet and clean tubing inside and out if necessary.
Reset pump in water (outlet side up) and once water begins to flow, reattach
supply tubing.
MAINTENANCE
1.
Keep water clean.
2.
Clean the product periodically to prevent mineral deposits and contamination.
3.
If installed outdoors and in a freeze – area of the country, ensure all water is
removed and the unit is completely dry. Product is NOT to be operated below
41° F (5° C) — freeze damage may occur.
