▶ Do not use the knockout punch if damage is visible.

▶ Make sure that the piston retracts after every punching operation.
▶ If the piston does not retract after the punching operation, press the piston return switch for manual
retraction.

▶ Select compatible draw studs, dies and punches.
▶ Before the punching operation, make sure that the punching insert is correctly and securely installed.

▶ During the punching operation great care must be taken to ensure that the hands and fingers are kept
well clear of the punching insert.

▶ Remove the battery before inserting, changing or removing the punching insert.

▶ Wear protective gloves when changing the accessory tool.
▶ Never lay down a hot accessory tool on a flammable surface.
In cold weather the hydraulic oil can thicken and slow the punching operation. Perform 5 to 10 empty
punching operations to heat up the punching tool.
1. Determine the exact position of the hole and pre-drill an opening for the draw stud.
To pre-drill the hole, use a drill bit of a diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the draw stud.
2. Press the piston return switch and hold it down until the piston has fully retracted.
3. Screw the draw stud into the mount on the punching head.
4. Mount the die on the draw stud.
5. Pass the draw stud through the pre-drilled opening.
6. Screw the punch, with the cutting edges facing toward the sheet of material to be cut, on to the draw
stud until the punch is seated against the sheet.
7. Press the control switch and hold it down until the punching operation is automatically completed.
Disassemble the punch and die so that any remaining scraps of sheet material can be removed.
