Troubleshooting
Tip 5: Live electrical systems
within 20 m of the antenna
(e.g. electric fences,
fluorescent lights), can cause
interference. To test for
interference, use the
diagnostics feature. Try turning
off the electrical systems; if
one is causing interference,
either move the antenna to a
different location or move the
electrical system further away
from the antenna.

Tip 1: Loose cables are liable to damage or
breakage from horns, chewing, or rubbing.
Always secure cables with cable ties at intervals
of approximately 200 mm.
Tip 4: Never run the power supply cable across the
front or back of the antenna. Always route the power
supply cable away from the antenna (e.g. on the
opposite side of the crush) to avoid causing
interference.
Tip 2: If you are getting poor
or no read performance, you
may need to distance the
antenna from any metal (e.g.
the crush bars). Remount the
antenna at a distance from the
metal, using non-metal objects
to hold it securely in place.
Tip 3: Metal bars can affect the
performance of the antenna. Try
locating the antenna in a di fferent
position.
