CAUTIONS
EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURED IN COMPLIANCE WITH MACHINE DIRECTIVE 2006/42/EC
• The components have been selected and used according to the operating conditions and expected life of the
equipment.
• Install the equipment in a position which does not cause hazards to people.
• No guard or indicator will ever suf ce if the equipment is not kept in its best conditions and if the following
instructions are not followed.
• Make sure you know how to use and adjust it correctly before starting to use it.
• Make sure that all users are able to safely use the equipment and know how it works.
• Avoid being exposed or exposing other people to needless risks and use PPE where required.
• Do not remove, change or disable safety devices tted by the manufacturer and check that they have not been
removed or their effectiveness has not been reduced.
• Keep the workplace tidy and hazard free and provide suitable light and free areas.
• Keep the working area free from tools or any other unnecessary object.
• During operation, prevent the hose from touching sharp edges and blunt objects.
• Do not place the hose near heat sources and protect it from mechanical shocks.
• The hose reel is tted with a spring operated winding system and an automatic locking device. Always manually
follow the hose winding action and take care not to accidentally disconnect the locking device when using the
hose reel.
CONNECTION
• During installation, make sure that the hose reel is resting on a at surface, able to withstand its weight.
• Mark the holes for the rawl plugs by using the template supplied, making sure that they are clear of electrical
cables or water pipes ( g. A).
• For the different hose reel con gurations, see g. B.
• Connect the hose reel to the compressed air/water system with a pressure of at least 2 bar and maximum
pressure lower than the value shown on the product label.
• Fit a lter upstream of the hose reel to prevent dirt from entering.
• Fit a quick connector or a pneumatically operated tool on the hose end by using the connector already pressed
on the hose.
• If this hose reel must be installed on a machine, it is strictly forbidden to use it before the machine has
been certi ed as compliant with the above mentioned directive requirements.
• Unsuitable for ammable gases.
