Acculan Battery GA 616, GA 626, GA 646
Dear Customer,
With the Acculan system you have also obtained a very
powerful battery with integrated electronic. Due to its
construction and the computerized charging unit the
battery has a very long life expectancy if it is treated
properly.
Therefore we would ask you to observe the following
instructions:
CAUTION!
Ø
The temperature of the battery should not exceed
65 °C.
If the battery is heated over this temperature, the
battery loses capacity, and it will even be destroyed
if the heating lasts longer.
Ø
Avoid a short-circuit.
If the poles of the battery (either top side or down
side) are connected by metal or liquid, high current
will flow (comparable with a car battery). The bat-
tery may be heated up extremely and be destroyed
and it may even damage surrounding objects
(danger of fire).
Therefore we recommend to treat the battery as
follows:
Ø
Store the battery at room temperature (about
20 degrees celsius).
Ø
Do not sterilize or desinfect the battery by any
means.
As the battery is completely sealed inside the hous-
ing of the machine the contamination of the OR-
field by the battery is not possible.
Ø
Always keep the battery dry.
Ø
Never immerse the battery in fluids.
Ø
Never place the battery on wet surfaces.
Ø
Always make sure that the sockets of the charging
unit are dry inside before you put the battery in.
Ø
Do not place or run the charging unit near to places
where you handle fluids (instrument cleaning, infu-
sions).
If you follow these instructions, we assure you will
have many successful operations with your Acculan
system.
If you have any additional questions, please call your
