GAS REQUIREMENTS
•
A standard gas pressure regulator according to EN16129 and a standard
gas hose according to EN16436-1 with a length of at least 0.5 metres must
be used for the unit.
•
Never use a gas cylinder with a damaged housing, valve, sleeve or foot ring.
A damaged or rusted gas cylinder can be dangerous and should be checked
by a gas cylinder dealer.
•
Never connect this appliance to an unregulated gas source.
•
Turn off the gas bottle when the appliance is not in use.
•
When connecting a gas cylinder, always carry out a leak test on all
connections. If bubbles form during the leak test, do not use the appliance
under any circumstances. Never test for leaks with an open flame.
CONNECTION TO A GAS BOTTLE
•
Follow the operating instructions for the gas bottle.
•
Only change gas cylinders outdoors or in well-ventilated areas at a safe
distance from ignition sources.
•
The gas bottle must be in an upright position at all times.
•
Turn the control knob of the heater to the "OFF" position by turning it fully
clockwise.
•
Close the gas bottle valve and attach the gas pressure regulator to the gas
bottle.
•
Tighten all connections firmly, using an open-ended spanner if necessary.
The gas bottle should be on the gas bottle base.
•
Check all connections for leaks with a soap solution. If there is a leak,
tighten the connector where the leak occurred and perform the test again.
•
When installing the gas cylinder in the device housing, it must be fastened
with the straps located in the device housing.
