a.Weight: press the arrow buttons up and down (
backwards and adjust your weight. When pressed shortly it will increase/
decrease 0.1kg/0.1lb. When pressed continuously it will increase/decrease
1.0kg/2.2lb. Press the 'ON/SET' button to confirm the setting. The LCD screen
will skip to the next parameter setting (memory station) at the same time.
b.Memory station: press the arrow buttons up and down (
forward/backwards to the memory station which you would like to chose or had
been designated to you. Press the 'ON/SET' button to confirm the setting. The
LCD screen will skip to the next parameter setting (gender) at the same time.
c.Gender: press the arrow buttons up and down (
forward/backwards to choose your gender. Press the 'ON/SET' button to
confirm the setting. The LCD screen will skip to the next parameter setting
(height) at the same time.
d.Height: press the arrow buttons up and down (
forward/backwards and adjust your height. Press the 'ON/SET' button to
confirm the setting. The LCD screen will skip to the next parameter setting
(age) at the same time.
e.Age: press the arrow buttons up and down (
forward/backwards and adjust your age. Press the 'ON/SET' button to confirm
the setting. The LCD screen will skip to the next parameter setting (memory
station) at the same time, and all settings are now completed.
At any stage of settings configuration, you can press the 'on/start' button to
enter the normal operating mode. At this point, you can continue to press the
'ON/SET' button a few consecutive times to go through the setting mode and
ensure all the parameters are correctly set. The LCD will skip to memory
setting.
f.Press the 'start' button to exit setting mode and enter normal operating
mode. The LCD will skip to 'BF ---'.
4. Body fat and hydration measurement
Hold the device in front of your breast, and place your arms perpendicular to
your body (always ensure to use dry hands to hold the device), and hold the
BIA conductive pads. As soon as you hold the pads, the LCD screen will display

Within a few seconds, the unit will automatically measure your body fat ("BF")
and hydration ("BW") percentages. The LCD will skip back and forth alternately
between value of fat and hydration percentages for 5 times, and then
automatically shut down.
On the lower side of the screen, you will see a line of multiple vertical bars. The
bar line indicates your fat percentage level, telling where your fat level is
comparing to the statistics norms; whether you are considered as thin, normal,
or obese. You can take this indication as a reference data of your condition.
NOTE: whenever pressing the 'ON/SET' button, you can measure new records
going through the same (a) to (f) steps to adjust all personal data.

Device troubleshooting
The LCD screen may show occasional error messages 'Err', or fail to turn off.
Please remove and reinstall the battery for a total reset. Then turn on the
device again to resume the operation.
If it fails to turn on, please check whether battery has been installed properly,
or battery power has been too low. Insert or replace the battery.
Other messages:
- All segments light up simultaneously: indicates all segments are performing
correctly.- 'LO': the main battery unit is running low.
- 'Err-h': the computed fat percentage rate is too high or above the upper limit.-
'Err-l': the computed fat percentage rate is too low or below the lower limit.

6. Reference information

The evaluated body fat result is based on a standardized measuring method. It
is calculated by a correlated formula developed on extensive scientific studies.
The hydration contained in the lean muscle affects measuring results. Individual
habits and lifestyle will affect balance of hydration level. Other factors, such as
the following may affect hydration balance:
- After a bath, readings can be lower.
- After a meal or drink, readings can be higher.
- During female menstrual period or pregnancy, readings can be
fluctuating/inconsistent.
- Loss of hydration by illness, energetic physical activities: readings can be
lower

7. Product maintenance

Please keep the device dry and don't place it near rain, humidity or any other
liquid. These will damage the device. If the device is wet, please use it when it's
completely dried.
Don't wash the device with strong chemicals, cleaner, detergent etc.
Please don't use the device in dusty or dirty places, it may damage the
removable parts and electronic components. Don't place the device in high
temperature places, high temperatures will shorten the device usage life,
damage the battery and the plastic case.
Don't store the device in low temperature places, when the device temperature
rise to normal temperature, humidity will be present into the inner parts of the
device and it will damage the internal components.
Disassemble and modify the device is not allowed and will void the warranty.
Please remove the battery if the device is not going to be used for a long period
of time.
Do not drop the device, or power hold the device when using. Avoid strong
impact and sudden shake as it is a precision measuring device. The appliance is
delicate and sensitive to all unwanted external influence.
Do not attempt to open the device and repair it. There are no serviceable parts
inside. This would void the warranty.
If in the future you need at any time to discard this product, please
note that electrical products should not be thrown away with
regular garbage. Please place this product in the recycling bins or
go to designated recycling areas. Check with your local authority or
the retailer which is the best recycling process.
