The insect killer can be used suspended
or in a standing position. If used hanging,
it must only be hung by the chain and the
suspension point must be able to tolerate a
load of at least 4 kg. If used standing, it must
be placed on a fl at surface.
If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced
by a professional to avoid hazards.
The insect killer is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with a physical,
sensory or mental disability or any person
unable to operate the appliance unless they
are supervised or have been instructed how
to use the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
Use
Hang the insect killer by the chain (1) at the
desired location at a height where children
cannot reach it. Plug the insect killer in and
switch it on.
The ultra-violet light from the insect killer's
UV-A tubes (5) attract insects, which are
killed when they come into contact with the
high-voltage mesh (4) behind the outer grille
(3). The dead insects collect in the tray (6) at
the bottom of the insect killer.
Cleaning
Always unplug the insect killer from the
mains before cleaning it. Remove the tray
from the insect killer regularly and empty it
of dead insects. Remove the outer grille, if
necessary, and clean the inside of the insect
killer using a brush or cloth. Do not use
liquids, sprays or foam for cleaning. Make
sure not to damage the high-voltage mesh or
the UV-A tubes.
