Installation
1. Make or verify an aperture.
2. Clean the aperture.
3. The cable/pipe shall go straight and centered
through the sleeve.
4. Not acceptable.
5. Not acceptable.
6. Adapt the RS seal by peeling off layers from
the halves until you reach the gap seen in
step 7. The number of layers may not differ
by more than one between the halves.
7. Achieve a 0-1.0 mm gap between the two
halves when held against the cable/pipe.
8. Fold out the tabs if any
(RS 225-644).
9. Lubricate the inside and the outside sealing
surfaces with Roxtec Lubricant.
10. Insert the halves into the sleeve.
11. Tighten the bolts crosswise in small steps to
firm compression.
Check compression
12. Excess lubricant shall be visible after
compression.
13. The rubber shall expand over the front fittings.
14. Rubber layers shall bulge outwards, if any.
