Test run!
Check grinding tools before use. Teh grinding tool must be
properly mounted and turn freely.
Perform a test run for at least 30 seconds with-out load. Do
not use damaged, out of round or vibrating grinding tools.
Operating instructions
• Clamp the workpiece in case it does not remain sta-
tionary by its own weight.
• Do not overload equipment so that it comes to a
standstill.
• Roughing and cutting discs become very hot while
working; do not touch before they have cooled.
Grinding
The best result are achieved with an angle of 15 o
to 40 o for grinding. Move the machine back and
forth with light pressure. In this manner, the work-
piece does not become too hot, no discoloration occurs and
no ridges are produced.
Under no circumstances should a cutting disk be
used for roughing work.
Fan Grinding Plate
With the fan grinding plate (accessory), curved surfaces
and profiles can also be worked (contour grinding).
Fan grinding discs have a much longer service life, lower noise
level and lower grinding temperature than grinding discs.
Cutting
When cutting, do not
press, tilt or oscilate.
Work with a moder-
ate feed rate that is suited to the
material to be worked.
The direction in which one cuts
is important. The machine must
always rotate opposite to the di-
rection of motion; therefore never
move the machine in the other
direction! Otherwise, the danger
exists that it will be forced uncon-
trolled out of the cut. When cutting profiles or square pipes, it
is best to start with the smallest cross section.
Attention!
• Never use a split grinding wheel.
• Do not drop the wheel or submit it to strokes (crack / fis-
sure hazard).
• Due to structural and technical differences in the manu-
facture of a grinding and cutting discs, don't use a cut
disc for grinding jobs or grinding disc for cutting jobs.
Use only griding/cutting disc correct to the worked mate-
rial, e.g.:
Ferrous material - aluminium oxide.
Non-ferrous materials - (aluminium, brass, copper, etc.) -
silicon carbide.
Cast iron - silicon carbide.
Stones - (marble, granite, concrete, etc.) - silicon carbide.
Obs.: For further details about grinding / cutting disc, con-
sult specialized stores or manufatures.
Maintenance and cleaning
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the
mains plug.
For safe and proper working, always keep the machine and
the ventilation slots clean.
If the machine should fail despite the rigorous manufactur-
ing and testing procedures, repair shold be carried out by an
authorized customer services center for Bosch power tools.
Guarantee
We guarantee Bosch appliances in accordance with
statutory/country-specific regulations (proof of purchase by
invoice or delivery note).
Damage attributable to normal wear and tear, overload or
improper handling will be excluded from the guarantee.
In case of complaint please send the machine, undisman-
tled, to your dealer or the Bosch Service Center for Elec-
tric Power Tools.
Warning!
Freight and insurance costs are charged to the client, even
for warranty claims.
Environmetal protection
Recycle raw materials instead of disposing
as waste.
The machine, acessories and packaging should
be sorted for environmental-friendly recycling.
The plastic components are labeld for categorized recy-
cling.
