Never aim the LASER sight at anyone's eyes.

4.1. PROCEDURE

1. Press the trigger to switch the instrument on and make a
measurement.
2. The SCAN indication blinks on the screen. Release the
trigger. The HOLD symbol is displayed and the last
measurement is frozen until the instrument switches off,
at the end of 8 seconds.
3. Press the trigger again and configure the measurement
parameters using the SET key and possibly the  keys
(see § 4.4).
Note:
When it switches off, the instrument stores the last measu-
rement configuration.
If the trigger press is maintained, the instrument measures
continuously.

4.2. MEASUREMENT PRECAUTIONS

„ If the surface to be measured is covered with frost or
particles, clean it, if possible, so as to expose the surface
before making the measurement.
„ If the thermometer seems to give incorrect readings,
check the condition of the measurement lens  and look
for condensation or particles that might obstruct it. Then
clean it, carefully following the instructions of the § 6.3.
4.3. RATIO OF TARGET DISTANCE TO
MEASUREMENT FIELD DIAMETER
This ratio, also called field of view, indicates the diameter of
the measurement field of the sensor at a specified distance
from the target (see figure below).
