4 Indication, contraindication
The scales are designed to check your weight, e.g.
while undergoing therapy.
It is not designed to determine mass for medical
purposes or for weighing patients being monitored,

examined or treated medically. Before altering
therapy a doctor has to confirm the values meas-
ured with calibrated scales.
Therefore, the scales do not come under Directive
2009/23/EC on non-automatic scales. They are pre-
calibrated in the factory.

Starting the hub system

1. Connect the hub system (modem, BT terminal,
smartphone or mobile telephone) via the power
supply unit with the socket. Ensure that the
battery of a telephone is never fully dis-
charged.

 The scales should always be relatively close
to the respective hub system to avoid an error
during the data transfer. Consider the different
ranges of potential hub systems.
 The hub system — BT terminal should always
be connected to the socket.
