connection cable. The control signal to the
heating unit is fed over this cable.
To prevent interference, this cable must be
laid separately from lines carrying 230 V or
400 V. If external inductive influences can
be expected, for example from power ca-
bles, a shielded cable must be used.
Use electrical cable of the type NYM with the
following conductor cross section:

Make sure that the cable is voltage-free.
Connect the remote control to the gas hea-
ting unit with the three conductor cable ac-
cording to the connection plan (

Putting into Operation

After connecting the electrical lines, insert
the top part of the remote control (a) on the
base (b) and put the gas heating unit into

operation.

Operation
Note: The TFQ 2 W is not an independent
regulator but rather a remote control with or
without room temperature sensing. It shifts
the heating curve of the TA... weather con-
trolled feed temperature regulator as requi-
red. It is therefore important that the settings
on the TA... regulator (e.g., heating curve)
are correct.
Important: So that the remote control can
have an effect on the TA... regulator, the
operational mode switch of the TA...E/A re-
gulator must be in position
The TFQ 2 W remote control has the follo-
wing control elements (

Brief operating instructions:
In the compartment on the right side of
the base, a small instruction manual
(JU 1011) can be found. It contains all
essentials for operation in brief form.

The following operating modes are possible:
2
Freeze protection mode: For outside
temperatures above + 4 °C, the heating
unit and the circulation pump are swit-
ched off (exception: For the TA 210 A,
the pump runs continuously). In case a
mixing valve is installed, this is driven

to the position "closed". For outside
temperatures below + 3 °C, the heating
unit is regulated to the minimum tempe-
rature set on the TA regulator. The cir-
culation pump runs according to the
pump switching logic. In case a mixing
valve is present, this is regulated to a
feed temperature of + 10 °C.
Normal mode: Continuous regulation of
the temperature to the value set on the
knob (g). See Section 5.3.1. for the
temperature range. The time has no
function.
Economy mode: Continuous reduction
of the feed temperature of approx. 25 K
for operation of the TFQ 2 W without
room temperature sensing or the room
temperature by approx. 3 K for operati-
on with room temperature sensing.
The knob (h) has no function in this
.
mode of operation.The reduction value
set on the TA...E/A regulator has no ef-
fect. The circulation pump runs accor-
ding to the pump switching logic.
Normal/Freeze protection mode: Auto-
matic switching between the normal
and freeze protection modes according
to the timer programming.
Note: In the freeze protection mode,
the operational characteristics as de-
scribed under
TFQ 2 W
apply.
