OPERATION
Switching on
The SR 358 is switched on by depressing the
switch (3). The tool is equipped with a lock on
button (4). While depressing the trigger switch
fully, push lock button to activate the lock on fea-
ture. .Depressing switch again de-activates the
lock on.
Caution: To avoid unintentional startup always
turn off switch when plug is removed from
socket, or in the event of a power interruption.
Mounting the sandpaper
Raise the clamp (5) lever and slide sanding
paper into position. Tension paper by lowering
clamp (5) lever.
Fitting the dust collector (2)
Slide into vacuum nozzle and twist clockwise to
lock into position.
Fitting front handle (1)
The front handle can be mounted in either an
upper or lower position for user comfort.
MAINTENANCE
Your sander should be given proper routine
maintenance to ensure proper performance and
long life. Periodic blowing out using compressed
air keeps dust from settling inside motor.
Maintenance should be performed by qualified
personnel or authorized Metabo service center.
Warning: Before performing any maintenance,
disconnect tool from power source.
CARBON BRUSHES
This tool is equipped with auto-stop brushes.
When the brushes are worn down, the tool will
stop running. At this time we recommend having
the tool professionally serviced for brush repla-
cement, cleaning, and inspection.
