INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
CONNECTION OF ZS-11 MICROPHONE
In order to connect the mod. ZS-11 microphone, Cat 5e type control cable is used. This cable is connected
to the COM socket on the zone system mod. ZSC-1110 and on the COM socket of the first microphone
mod. ZS-11.
In the event of having more than one microphone, these can be connected to each other by connecting the
COM connector of the first to the COM connector of the second.
CHIMES
The chimes can be used in two ways.
- Chimes can be played remotely via the microphone mod. ZS-11. Select the zone or zones in which you
wish to page using the corresponding zone selction buttons. Then press the CHIME ON button to
broadcast the chimes.
- To play the chimes from the zone system, select the zones in which you wish to page by pressing the
MUSIC/CALL button (the LED indicator should light up in red) and then press the buttons of the required
zones (the LED indicator of each zone will light up in red or orange repectively, depending if the background
music is deactivated or activated). Then press the CHIME button to broadcast the chimes in the selected
zones.
ALARM PAGING
The LINE 1 and LINE 2 inputs can be used as audio inputs for emergencies. These inputs are automatically
activated in all inputs when the ALARM IN A/B contacts are closed. The priority level of the different inputs
is as follows: LINE IN 2 → MIC1/2 → LINE IN 1.
BROADCASTING MUSIC FROM THE ZS-11 MICROPHONES
The microphone mod. ZS-11 has an audio input for broadcasting background music. In order to use this
function, connect an audio source to the LINE IN input (6.3 mm jack connector) of the ZS-11 microphone,
then activate the zone or zones in which you wish the music to be heard by pressing the zone buttons on
the microphone ZS-11 or from the zone system ZSC-1110 by pressing the corresponding zone button (the
MUSIC/CALL indicator must be lit in red in order to activate this input).
CONNECTION
Make the connections with the amplifier and all the components of the audio system switched off and
disconnected from the power supply.
The zone system can operate with one or several 100 V amplifiers for background music or for paging, with
a maximum power of 500 W per zone or 5000 W per 10 zones.
Once the connections have been made according to your needs, connect the devices to the power supply
and switch them on. After use, do not forget to switch off and disconnect the devices from the power supply.
