CANCEL FUNCTION
Press this button (6) if you wish to stop the toasting function.
LIFT FUNCTION
This function is very useful when toasting small slices. When the toaster has finished toasting and the lever is up, continue to
pull the lever up so that it is easier to take out the bread.
DEFROST FUNCTION
To toast frozen bread, do not adjust the browning control (7). Simply place the bread in the slot as normal, slide the lever
downwards and press the Defrost button (3).
The defrost indicator will light and the toaster will heat for an extended period.
REHEAT FUNCTION
If you have already toasted the bread but it has cooled, simply place the bread in the slot, slide the lever downwards and press
the Reheat button (4). The indicator will light and the toaster will heat for a short period to reheat the bread.
ONE-SIDE TOASTING FUNCTION
To toast the bread on one side only, place it in the slots, slide the lever downwards and immediately press the one-side
toasting button (5). The indicator will light and only the heating elements on one side will operate.
CRUMB TRAY
Crumbs will accumulate on the bottom tray of the toaster and may cause a fire if the tray is not emptied regularly. When the
toaster has cooled completely, gently shake the toaster from side to side to loosen any crumbs that may have remained in the
toaster chamber. Then pull the tray (1) outwards and empty it. Never use the toaster without the tray.
USEFUL TIPS
To obtain uniform toasting of the bread, we advise waiting about 30 seconds between slices so that the browning control can
reset automatically.
To toast just one slice, select a low value on the browning control.
Dry bread toasts quicker than damp or fresh bread. Bear this in mind when selecting the toasting time.
All types of bread can be toasted. Make sure that the slices are not excessively thick so that they do not burn or stick in the
toaster slot.
When toasting two slices, we recommend using slices having a similar freshness, size and thickness.
Wait until the toaster has fully cooled before leaving it unattended.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
After use and before cleaning unplug from the wall socket and wait until it has cooled.
Clean the outside of the toaster with a damp cloth and then dry.
Never use metal scouring pads or abrasive cleaners and never immerse the toaster in any liquid.
Never use pointed or sharp objects to clean the interior. This may damage the heating elements.
Never insert brushes, scissors or metal objects of any kind in the toaster slots.
