Oil change
Before checking the engine, make sure it is switched off and the lawn mower is secure on a flat surface. Drain the
oil while the engine is still warm to ensure fast and complete drainage.
1. Remove all the fuel from the tank by letting the engine run until the fuel runs out.
2. Remove the drain plug (1) [Fig. 15, page 06] and drain the remaining oil onto a suitable oil drain pan [Fig. 16, page 06].
3. Replace the drain plug (1) and close it tightly [Fig. 15, page 06].
4. Fill the tank with approximately 600 ml of 5W30 oil and check the oil level. To check the engine oil level,
screw the cap in all the way. Then remove the cap. The oil level should be at the top line of the dipstick for proper
engine operation [Fig. 17, page 06].
Used lube oil can cause skin cancer in case of prolonged contact with the skin. Unless you handle used lube oil
daily, this is unlikely to occur. However, we recommend washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water right
after handling used oil. Please dispose of used lube oil in an environmentally responsible manner. We recommend
taking the oil in a sealed container to the nearest oil recycling center or hazardous waste disposal center for
proper disposal. Do not dispose of used oil in the trash or pour it on the ground.
The amount of new oil required may vary. For best results, check the dipstick. With the lawn mower
secure on a flat surface, add oil until the oil level reaches the top line of the dipstick.
Attention: The oil already used can harm the environment and because of this it has to be correctly discarded.
Do not discard it together with domestic garbage, by the drain or directly in the nature. Consult the authorities
in your city, a retailer, or a technical assistant to be informed about a place to recycle or to discard this oil
accordingly. The lawn mower might be inclined just when the oil is being removed from the reservoir. Never incline
the equipment even not put it with the engine upside down if there is petrol in its tank and oil in the reservoir. If
it is necessary to incline the equipment, make sure the spark plug stays up, [Fig. 18, page 06].
Air filter
Check the air filter cleanliness from time to time or at least at each oil change.
For a good operation of the engine the air filter must be always clean. Clogged filters due to insufficient cleaning
may cause serious problems to the engine operation, such as the loss of power, damages to the cylinder, piston
and rings.
Air filter - paper
1. To remove dirt, gently tap the filter against a hard surface. If the filter is excessively dirty, replace it with a
new filter.
