Depth stop setting
It is recommended to set the depth stop when the
milling head is to be plunged into the workpiece
surface to a defi ned depth.
Install the milling head.
Set the depth limiter to the zero position (see Fig. 6).
Place the router on the workpiece.
Giant. 7: Release the adjusting lever (14).
Giant. 8: Loosen the set screw (9). Lower the depth
stop (10) onto the depth limiter (7).
Giant. 9: Push the milling cutter down until the milling
head rests on the workpiece surface. Tighten the set
screw (9) in this position.
Giant. 10: Release the upper cutter to lift it up again.
The depth stop is now set to 0 mm milling depth.
Loosen the locking screw (9) and slide the depth stop
(10) upwards to the required milling depth. Tighten
the locking screw (9) in this position.
The depth stop is now set to the required milling
depth.
The milling depth can be precisely adjusted on the
fi ne setting (11).
The set milling depth only applies to the milling head
just mounted!
When using milling heads with a diff erent geometry,
the depth stop must be readjusted.
Milling depth adjustment and locking
Danger of injury! Unplug before making any adjust-
ments!
Securing the milling depth is recommended when
milling from a face with a defi ned depth over the
entire length of the workpiece.
Install the milling head. Set the depth of cut (see
above).
Giant. 11: Place the upper milling cutter on the edge
of the workpiece and press down until the depth stop
(10) reaches the depth limiter (7).
Giant. 12: Secure this position with the adjusting lever
(14).Depth limiter adjustment (7)
{Giant. 13) The depth limiter can be used to reduce
the set depth stop dimension.
Set the depth of cut (see above).
Chip extraction connection Fig. 14)
To protect against inhalation of harmful dusts, always
work with the connected dust extraction! Any ordinary
vacuum cleaner with a suffi ciently long hose (freedom
of movement!) Is suitable.
Fasten the chip extraction connection (17) to the base
plate (6) using the supplied screws on the underside.
Attach the vacuum cleaner hose to the chip extraction
connection (17) (if necessary, use an adapter).
Speed setting (Fig. 15)
Set on the speed controller
(1 = minimum speed, 7 = maximum speed).
Installation of accessories
One of the following assemblies is always required for
diff erent tasks:
• Copy case assembly
• Installation of parallel stop
• Centering tip assembly
