Inserting a memory card (optional)

In addition to the built-in flash
memory, your camera can store
data on a Compact Flash (CF)
card or a Microdrive.
To insert a memory card, gently
push the card as indicated until
the card reaches the end of the
slot. Note that you should insert a
memory card before powering on
the camera.
After inserting a memory card, you are recommended to format
the memory card before using it. To format a memory card with the
camera, follow these procedures:
Insert a memory card → Power on the camera → Set the Mode
Dial to Settings
Advanced sub-menu → Enter the Format
sub-menu → Select Yes and press the
Enter button.
Note that all data stored on the memory
card will be gone after formatting.
