WARNING:

unit. Using other attachments could result in personal
injury and damage to the unit.

damage to the unit, shut the unit off before removing or
installing an attachment.
INSTALLING THE ATTACHMENT
Some attachments can be installed directly onto the power head, but
most attachments require the use of the extension boom. Refer to the
attachment operator's manual for specific assembly instructions.
When using the extension boom, refer to Operating the Extension
Boom and Operating the Coupler.
OPERATING THE EXTENSION BOOM
Installing the Extension Boom
1. Remove the protective cap and gray spacer from the extension
boom.
2. Align the extension boom with the power head (Fig. 1). The
coupler should be positioned as shown (Fig. 1).
3. Insert the extension boom into the power head until the latch
snaps into place (Fig. 1).
4. Gently pull the extension boom away from the power head to
verify that it is securely installed.
Rotating the Extension Boom
After assembling the unit completely, the extension boom can be
rotated for special operations with certain attachments. Unless
otherwise specified in the attachment operator's manual, do not
rotate the extension boom.
1. Push the latch button down firmly and rotate the extension
boom to the desired position (Fig. 2).
2. Release the latch button to lock the extension boom in place.
3. Gently pull the extension boom away from the power head to
verify that it is securely installed.
Removing the Extension Boom
1. Push the latch button down firmly and pull the extension boom
straight out of the power head.
