Plain-end type blades are recommended whenever fine,
accurate and intricate work is being performed on 3/4 in.
(19 mm) or thinner material. It will take slightly longer to
install the blade and adjust blade tension, but you will also be
able to use finer blades for cutting a thinner kerf.
WARNING
always turn the switch OFF (O) and remove power
cord plug from power source before removing or replacing
the blade.
Plain-end blade removal (Fig. F, G, H)
1. Remove the table insert (1) by pushing it up from under
the worktable. (Fig. F)
NOTE: Be careful not to make contact with the blade.
2. To remove the blade, loosen the blade tension by lifting
the blade tension lever (2). If needed, turn the blade
tension lever counterclockwise to reduce the tension
further.
3. Loosen the upper blade holder (3) by turning the blade
holder lock knob (4) counterclockwise. (Fig. F, G)
NOTE: The hex set screw (5) on the right side is used for
fine adjustments and is only adjusted if the blade is not
perpendicular to the table.
4. Tilt the worktable to 45° left and tighten the table lock
knob (8-Fig. H). Loosen the lower blade holder lock
knob (6) on the right side of the lower blade holder (7)
under the table by turning it counterclockwise. (Fig. G)
5. Push down the upper arm (10-Fig. G), and remove
the blade (9) from the upper and lower blade holders by
pulling forward. (Fig. H)
