cleaning and maintenance
Cleaning
Always unplug the power cord and allow the kettle to cool down before cleaning it.
•
Never immerse the kettle, power cord or plug in water or any other liquid.
•
Clean the outside of the kettle with a soft, slightly damp sponge.
•
Never use abrasive detergents or scouring pads to scrub the inner or outer coating of your
•
kettle.
Descaling
How often descaling is required depends on how hard the water is and how often the
•
appliance is used.
Regularly descale your kettle to maintain it in good working condition.
•
In normal use, we recommend descaling your kettle at least three or four times a year.
•
To descale your kettle:
Pour in equal parts water and white vinegar up to the "MAX" mark.
1.
Bring to the boil and allow to work for 15 minutes.
2.
Carry out 3 boiling cycles with fresh water each time to thoroughly rinse the kettle.
3.
Special kettle descaler can also be used. In this case, follow the instructions on the packaging
and rinse thoroughly 2 or 3 times before using the kettle again.
Never use descaling methods that are not set out above. Malfunctions or faults due to a lack
of descaling are not covered by the kettle's warranty.
