4.7.3. Connecting the loudspeaker lines with AV SERIES volume attenuators and SURETY PAGING
ATTENTION: FOR INSTALLATIONS REQUIRING
SURETY PAGING, THE IF-7WETH MUST BE
EQUIPPED WITH THE ACCESSORY MODULE
IF-MER (SURETY PAGING RELAY).
The surety paging auxiliary relay switches when the IF-7WDCETH plays a
message with priority, either by receiving it via Ethernet, by activating a pre-
recorded message by activating a local contact, or by activating the priority
contact of the PAGING analogue audio input. It is used to activate external
elements that must act at the same time as the priority paging. This allows, in
installations with volume attenuators and 3- or 4-wire loudspeaker lines, to
ensure the broadcasting of messages with priority regardless of the position of
the volume selector of the attenuator, using the surety paging relay in
combination with the MPP-02 module.
Figure 14 shows an example of a surety paging connection of AV series
attenuators (three-wire speaker lines) and figure 15 on the next page with CV
series attenuators (four-wire speaker lines).
Surety paging auxiliary relay:
Maximum DC charging current: 150 mA.
Maximum DC or AC peak load voltage: 350V
