8. Starting the LEADER
First place the device at the beginning of the area to
be sprinkled. Ensure that the supports are anchored
firmly in the ground (fig. 1) and that the steering
drawbar is fixed (fig. 2).
Disconnecting the turbine in neutral position
To disconnect the turbine, remove the securing
hook (fig. 3) and then disengage the turbine (fig. 4).
Extracting the hose
Pull the hose out perpendicular to the machine and
leave a couple of complete windings on the hose
reel.
Check that the hose remaining on the reel fits tightly
and evenly on the reel and is under slight tension.
(fig 5).
Attention: Insufficient tension can damage the
hose when it is being retracted.
Attention: The turbine must first be unlocked
(neutral position) before the hose is rolled out.
Connecting the turbine in operating position
The securing hook must be hooked back on (fig. 6).
The gearwheels of the water turbine and hose reel
must engage firmly with each other.
The turbine is then engaged (fig. 7).
Opening the automatic shut-off
Lock the activation handle on the front of the hose
trolley by hanging the bolt on the water stop valve
(fig. 8).
The valve is now open pending activation via the
sprinkler trolley.
Attention: The water supply should NOT be
opened when doing this.
This closes the valve and the water supply is
interrupted. Sprinkling is now terminated.
