Personal injury or property damage due to damaged touchscreen
Improper handling, such as applying massive force or operating the panel with sharp or pointed objects, can damage the
touchscreen of the HMI device. A damaged touchscreen can lead to anything from malfunctions of the system to personal
injury.
Observe the notes on proper handling of the touchscreen in the associated operating instructions. Immediately replace any
device that has a defective touchscreen.
Cleaning
Only clean the devices when they are switched off.
Clean the devices with a damp cloth. Use dishwashing liquid or foaming screen cleaning agent.

Maintenance and repair
The product is maintenance-free. Repairs to the product may only be carried out by the manufacturer. Observe the
information in the operating instructions.
Recycling and disposal
Contact a certified disposal service company for electronic scrap for environmentally sustainable recycling and disposal of
your old device. Dispose of the product according to the respective regulations in your country.

Functional safety
This section applies to fail-safe operation of a Mobile Panel 2nd Generation in conjunction with the connection box.

To avoid danger to people and the environment, under no circumstances may you bypass safety functions or take measures
that amount to or result in bypassing safety functions. The manufacturer is not liable for the consequences of such
manipulation or for damages resulting from the failure to heed this warning.
Perform a safety inspection for safety-related functions throughout the entire system, including all safety-related
components.
For fail-safe Mobile Panels 2nd Generation, observe the notes and warnings in the operating instructions especially for:

Make sure that the HMI device is configured and parameterized for fail-safe operation according to the operating instructions.
Perform function tests for safety functions according to your automation task. They may only be used in production when the
correct operation of the safety-related functions is ensured.
