5.4 Switching off
Use the following procedure to switch off the
machine:
1.
Release the operating lever (7).
The integrated automatic brake limits the
➢
coasting time of the tool to approx.
1 second.
The switch-on lock automatically
➢
becomes effective again and secures the
carpentry chain saw against being
switched on inadvertently.
The machine is switched off.

5.5 Working information
Nails in the workpiece or sand sticking to the chain fitting will damage the saw chain.
Prior to starting cutting, remove all nails from the workpiece.
➢
Remove adhering sand from the chain fitting.
➢
The ZSX Ec carpentry chain saw corresponds to a
hand-held circular saw in terms of handling and
design. The riving knife/ splitter prevents the saw
chain from jamming and the guard of the lower
chain deflection prevents the machine from kicking
up.
It is particularly suitable for cross-sections that
require a large cutting depth, especially for the
joinery also of glulam beams.
Prior to switching on the machine, position its base
plate on the workpiece such that there is no contact
yet between the saw chain and the workpiece. Hold
the machine by both handles and advance it evenly
without tilting after it has been switched on.
If possible, always guide the machine with the parallel guide fence either along the edge
of the workpiece or along a guide rail that is available as special accessory.
Using a guide rail significantly improves the cutting quality.
