 Close the battery cover and fasten the latch to secure the
cover.
For complete charging instructions, see the operator's manu-
als for your battery pack and charger.
STARTING/STOPPING THE PUMP
See Figure 6.
 To start the pump: Depress the ON/OFF button.
 To stop the pump: Depress the ON/OFF button again.
WARNING:
Unit should always be turned off, with the battery pack
removed, when not in use. Do not leave pump on while
unattended. Failure to follow these instructions could
result in serious personal injury.
NOTE: If the pump is first connected to a battery with the
switch in the ON position, the pump may not start. To start
the pump, turn the pump OFF and then ON.
USING THE TIMER FEATURE
See Figures 6 - 7.
 Depress the ON/OFF button to start the pump.
 Press the timer button.
 After pressing the timer button once, the pump will run for
5 minutes. With each additional press, the running time
of the pump increases by 5 minutes for up to 15 minutes.
 The selected running time is indicated by the correspond-
ing LED in Figure 7.
 After the preset time has elapsed, the pump will turn off
automatically.
 To switch the timer function OFF, press the timer button
until the timer indicator lights go out.
EXTENDING THE TELESCOPING POLE
See Figure 8.
The telescoping pole can be used fully retracted, fully ex-
tended, or at any point in between.
NOTE: The telescoping pole sections contain an internal
hard stop. Do not attempt to over extend the poles after
reaching the internal hard stops.
NOTE: Avoid twisting the pole or bottom pump housing
when extension collars are unlocked as this could result
in binding the cable inside.
 Turn the pump off and remove the battery pack.
OPERATION
 Loosen the extension collars by turning it counterclock-
wise as indicated by the "lock/unlock" indicator on the
collars.
 Slide the pole to the desired position.
 Tighten the extension collars by turning clockwise as
indicated by the "lock/unlock" indication on the collars.
Make sure the collars are securely tightened before rein-
stalling the battery pack.
NOTE: Extension collars must be firmly hand tightened
to completely seal the gaskets to prevent leakage. Do
not overtighten.

USING THE PUMP

See Figures 9 - 12.
WARNING:
Do not submerge tool above the water barrel hook. Water
may enter the electronic components and/or battery
pack, which can result in a short circuit, increased risk
of fire, and serious personal injury.
WARNING:
Hold the tool securely. Always wear the wrist lanyard
except when the barrel hook is used. Do not leave the
pump unsupervised while in use.
 This pump is capable of discharging liquids up to 24 ft.
above the level of liquid.
NOTE: Do not run the pump dry, as it could shorten the
life of the pump.
 Attach the discharge hose.
 Telescope pole to desired length as described in Extend-
ing the Telescoping Pole section.
 Install the battery pack.
 Submerge the lower end of the pump into the area to be
evacuated.
 Secure the pump to a barrel using the water barrel hook,
if desired.
 If not using the barrel hook, hold the pump by the handle
with the wrist lanyard on. Do not leave pump unsupervised
while in use.
 Direct the discharge hose away from the area being
pumped or into a suitable container.
 Turn on the pump and allow it to run until the area is fully
cleared or the battery has discharged.
NOTE: Do not submerge past the water barrel hook.
