100-T SERIES
U s e r m a n u a l
Use in multiple loudspeaker systems (ceiling)
For use in multiple loudspeaker systems (each loudspeaker working independently of the others), the loudspeakers can
be installed according to your requirements and the room's architectural constraints. However, take care not to install the
loudspeakers too close to a wall or a corner, to avoid excessive low-frequency levels.
Cabling
Focal recommends using an amplifier that delivers 20% more power than the system's total power, to avoid a surge or
damage to the 100-T Series loudspeakers.
Ensure that you follow the recommendations for your amplifier in order to correctly connect each Integration 100-T Series
loudspeaker.
The Integration 100-T Series loudspeakers must be connected to an amplifier for 100V/70V to connect multiple speaker
drivers with long cable lengths. These connections must be parallel in order to chain the loudspeakers (fig. 1). This method
allows you to connect the loudspeakers together directly, for a more flexible system.
We recommend using a cable with a + / - marker and ensuring the polarity of the speaker drivers is respected.
Choose good quality cables with a cross-section appropriate for the installation length. You dealer will be able to advise you.
If you connect the loudspeakers from the 100-T Series range with a 100-T Series amplifier, here is a non-exhaustive table of
the recommended cable cross sections:

INSTALLATION
Existing construction
• Before installing the loudspeakers, ensure that the intended positions on the ceiling/wall are not obstructed by the routes
of air vents or any cables that may interfere with the installation. Use the appropriate tools to help you determine suitable
locations.
• Ensure that the ceiling/wall is thick/deep enough to allow the product to be installed.
• Use the cut-out template provided to trace the mounting outline onto the existing ceiling/wall.
Cut along the traced line with a suitable tool to create an opening on the ceiling/wall (fig. 2).
• You can only install your speakers once you have wired them up. Make sure you leave enough cable length to connect
your product with ease (approximately 193/4"/ 50cm) (fig. 3). We recommend using a cable with a marker that ensures the
polarity of the speaker drivers is respected. Choose good quality cables with a cross-section appropriate for their length:
your dealer will be able to advise you.
• Add the safety sling provided to lock your product into the ceiling (fig. 4). Each loudspeaker must be connected to the
supporting structure and, if the system allows, via 2 separate points of the structure.
• The loudspeaker is fitted into the wall and ceiling using rotating brackets. To do this, place the loudspeaker into the cut-
out opening and turn the screw on the mounting brackets clockwise to tighten it using a Phillips head screwdriver or a
screw-gun. If using a screwdriver, make sure that the tightening torque is set to a low value to avoid damaging the mounting
brackets (fig. 5). The loudspeaker is adequately attached when you feel resistance at the end of tightening.
