LOUDSPEAKER POSITIONING
Vertical wall mounting (fig.1)
Horizontal under-eave mounting (fig.2)
The loudspeakers should be positioned symmetrically, facing the listening area, ideally forming an isosceles triangle with
it. The space between the two loudspeakers will be between 8.2ft (2.5m) and 13.1ft (4m) for a listening area between 9.8 ft
(3m) and 19.7 ft (6m). These distances may be varied, however, to find the ideal compromise depending on the specific room
layout. The loudspeakers should be positioned at the same height and in the same horizontal plane. For installation beneath a
horizontal eave, we recommend pointing the loudspeakers towards the middle of the listening area.
Cables
We recommend using a cable with a + / - marker and ensuring the polarity of the speaker drivers is respected.
Choose good quality cables with a cross-section appropriate for the installation length. You dealer will be able to advise you.
The impedance of each outdoor product from the 100-T Series range allows you to simultaneously connect two loudspeakers
to the same amplifier output in the 8-ohm position, if you wish.
If you are connecting the outdoor loudspeakers from the 100-T Series to a 100-T Series amplifier, here is a non-exhaustive table
of the recommended cable cross sections:

INSTALLATION
Before installing the loudspeakers, ensure that the intended positions on the ceiling/wall are not obstructed by the routes of
air vents or any cables that may interfere with the installation.
Before attaching the products, make sure the ceiling/walls are strong, in perfect condition, and will remain so long-term.
When attaching the brackets, make sure you use appropriate screws and plugs for the material and use a specialised installer,
if necessary.
These products are IP66 certified: they have increased water and dust resistance. To protect their service life, however, we do
not recommend leaving them exposed to permanently running water. They should never be submerged in water. After heavy
rainfall, we recommend waiting a few hours before turning them on again; allowing them to dry-out naturally will restore
nominal audio functioning.
• To mount the loudspeakers, firstly remove the mounting bracket (fig. 3) then fix the bracket firmly, either horizontally or
vertically depending on your choice, to the support using suitable screws for the supporting material (fig. 3).
• For a more discreet installation, we recommend threading the cable through the hole in the middle of the mounting bracket
(fig. 4). Make sure to leave around 11.8" (30cm) of cable to allow you to connect and position the loudspeaker easily afterwards.
• Then replace the loudspeaker in its bracket and tighten the knobs (fig. 5). Remove the silicone cover from the terminals (fig. 6)
and connect the cables to the loudspeaker's input terminals (+ red and - black) before replacing the terminals' rubber cover.
• For a system with a 70V/100V amplifier, select the power of the internal transformer using the switch (fig. 7). Refer to the
transformer power table (fig. 8).
• For a system with a classic amplifier, select the 8-ohm position on the switch (fig. 7). Refer to the transformer power table
(fig. 8).
• Next, direct the loudspeaker towards the listening area and tighten the clamps securely (fig. 5).
• Finally, adjust the position of the FOCAL logo on the grille (fig. 9).
