4. Measurement procedure
It is recommended that you wait about 15
minutes after turning on the measurement am-
plifier U before starting any measurements in
order for all components to settle into a stable
equilibrium and thus minimise offset drift.
Connect the measurement amplifier to the
mains using the plug-in power supply pro-
vided.
Connect a voltmeter or oscilloscope to the
measurement output.
Short the measurement input and calibrate
the offset to 0 V.
Connect the signal to be measured to the
measurement input.
Select a suitable gain factor for the input
voltage range (cf. Table 1).
Activate the low-pass filter if needed by set-
ting a time constant > 0 s.

By connecting an external resistor R
input of the measurement amplifier it is also
possible to measure amperage. A connected
voltmeter displays the voltage:

To avoid errors in measurement, do not se-
lect an external resistor of larger than 100 Ω
if possible. If necessary, measure the re-
sistance with an ohmmeter.
Take note of maximum current.

5. Storage, cleaning and disposal
Keep the equipment in a clean, dry and
dust-free place.
Before cleaning the equipment, disconnect
it from its power supply.
Do not clean the unit with volatile solvents
or abrasive cleaners.
Use a soft, damp cloth to clean it.
The packaging should be disposed of at lo-
cal recycling points.
Should you need to dis-
pose of the equipment
itself, never throw it
away in normal do-
mestic waste. If being
used in private house-
holds it can be dis-
posed of at the local
public waste disposal
authority.
Comply with the applicable regulations for
the disposal of electrical equipment.
