After wiring the alarm unit to the various points of the car, carry out the
following operations:
1) Check the car keys are not inside the vehicle.
2) Restore the battery connection.
3) Switch off the alarm with the remote control, checking it operates properly.
4) Close the windows, doors, bonnet and boot.
5) Switch on the alarm with the remote control.
5a) During the initial immunity of 25 seconds, simulate an alarm by opening and closing a door,
or the bonnet or boot (The alarm signal for the opening of the bonnet is delayed for 5 sec). The
indicator lights will fl ash each time.
5b) If after the initial immunity time has passed you open a door, the bonnet or boot, and leave it
open, there will be just one alarm cycle of 25 seconds.
5c) If, accidentally, one of the peripheral protection buttons is permanently closed towards
ground when the anti-theft device is armed, the peripheral protection will not be considered and
this fault will be signalled by the alarm buzzer.
6) Turn on the alarm unit with the remote control and during the 25 seconds of initial immunity
carry out:
Ultrasound test
Put your hand in the car through the window and move it horizontally with respect to the plane of
the car. The fl ashing of the indicators indicates the ultrasound's level of sensitivity.
6b) Make the key positive test during the initial immunity period. Turn the ignition key to simulate
an attempt to start the engine. The turning indicators will fl ash to confi rm that an alarm cycle was
generated.
7) Start the engine to check the alarm functions work properly (siren, horn, indicator lights, and LED
which will have to be fl ashing).
8) Testing the emergency disarming: trigger an alarm. Insert the ignition key and turn it to its ON
position. Keep it turned for at least 5 sec. and the system will then disarm.
NB: the key used must be fi tted with the vehicle's original transponder.
9) Testing the inhibition of the trigger for the boot alarm: with the system armed, press the button
to release the boot on the remote control, the system will not trigger an alarm when the boot is
opened. The rapid fl ashing of the LED is to signal the temporary alarm inhibition due to: Boot, ultra-
sonics and AUX module (M160). When the boot is closed again, the previously inhibited protection is
automatically restored. If a car door is opened with the ignition key, the system will trigger an alarm.
