2. USAGE & CARE INSTRUCTIONS
2.1 Usage Instructions
1. Put on safety equipment (Pads, Helmet and High Visability Clothing).
2. Adjust the Think Gizmos Roller Skate size to fit by pushing the 'PUSH' button on the side
of the Skate and move the toe cap forward or backwards to the correct fit.
3. Tighten all straps and laces.
4. To operate the rear brakes, roll your heel backwards so the brake pad touches the
ground.
5. Enjoy Skating.
2.2 Care, Maintenance & Safety Instructions
To achieve the best results from your XN018 Think Gizmos Roller Skates it is important to
follow a few simple guidelines for safer skating.
Regular Maintenance enhances the safety of the Think Gizmos Roller Skates:
1.
Ensure the skates fit securely and comfortably and that the plastic strap and laces
remain tight.
2.
The bearing fitted to the wheels are of the sealed unit type which means they require
little maintenance. Before skating spin each wheel to ensure they spin freely. If there is
any friction or the wheel wobbles then you need to check the problem and if necessary,
replace the bearing before skating.
3.
Ensure the area around the wheels is kept clean and free from mud. If you have been
riding in the wet then dry off the boot and the base of the skates. Remove the liner and
make sure it is not wet and leave it out of the boot until dry before replacing.
4.
If while skating you accidentally hit a hard object such as a kerb, stop skating and check
the skates for sharp edges and cracks. If damage has been caused then ask a parent to
check the skates over and if in doubt seek the advice of a specialist before skating again.
5.
Remember to follow these few simple rules to ensure you obtain the best results and
enjoyment from your skating . If you are in any doubt then seek the advice of an adult
and do not use your skates until they have been checked.
6.
Keep the skates clean and carry out a safety check each time before riding.
7.
We recommend the use of protective pads, safety helmet and the wearing of reflective
material when skating.
8.
IMPORTANT: Do not modify the design of the boot or chassis as this may impair safety.
9.
Think Gizmos Roller Skates are designed to be used on smooth paved surface.
10. Do not use on soft surfaces such as grass, soil or sand.
11. Check self-locking nuts regularly as they can lose their effectiveness over time.
12. Remove any sharp edges which may be caused during use, to prevent deterioration of
the skate.
