Changing and inserting drills and bits
The combi drill can be used both to bore holes and to
tighten/loosen screws. For this purpose, drills and bits
are used.
Never insert or change the drills and bits while the
appliance is running. Always switch off the combi drill
before doing this.
1. Set the forward/reverse button (5) to the middle
position to lock the "ON/OFF" switch (10);
2. Hold the combi drill by the handle with one hand and
unlock the quick-change chuck (1) clockwise until the
drill or bit can be inserted;
3. Insert the drills or bit into the quick-change chuck;
4. Hold the combi drill by the handle with one hand and
lock the quick-change until the drill or bit is properly
fastened in the chuck jaws.
When using screwdriving bits always use a magnetic bit
holder.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The combi drill can be used both to bore holes and to
tighten/loosen screws. For this purpose, drills and bits
are used.
When operating the combi drill, you must consider
some use procedures:
▪ When working on small or loose workpieces, use
clamping devices to fix parts securely and stably;
▪ Do not apply excessive pressure on the drill against
the workpiece/object. If the speed drops abruptly,
reduce the pressure applied to the combi drill
immediately;
▪ When the bit or drill gets jammed, switch off the
power tool immediately. Avoid the high reaction
torques that cause kickback;
▪ Never put the tool down before the rotating
accessory has completely stopped.
▪ Switch off the combi drill immediately if any of the
following problems occur:
- Grease leakage through the ventilation slots;
- Damage to the combi drill housing;
- Damage to the "ON/OFF" switch;
- If you sense smoke or burning smell.
Start and stop
1. Press the "ON/OFF" switch (10) and touch the drill or
the bit against the surface or screw;
2. To increase and decrease the rotation speed, press
the "ON/OFF" switch fully or smoothly respectively.
The maximum speed is reached with the switch
pressed down completely;
3. To switch off the impact drill, release the "ON/OFF"
switch.
While the combi drill is running, the LED light will
illuminate.
Direction of rotation and ON/OFF switch lock
Do not change the direction of rotation while the combi
drill is running, it can cause serious damage to the
appliance. Always check the direction of rotation before
starting to use the combing drill.
1. Use the forward/reverse (5) to select the shaft
direction of rotation:
▪ With the forward/reverse button set to the left,
the shaft rotates clockwise;
▪ With the forward/reverse button set to the right,
the shaft rotates counterclockwise;
▪ If the forward/reverse button set in the middle
position, the ON/OFF switch is locked.
Torque setting
The torque must be adjusted according to the type of
work to be carried out and the size of the screws used.
1. To select the desired torque value, turn the torque
clutch (2) according to the scale.
For less hard surfaces and smaller screws use lower
torque positions. For harder surfaces and larger screws
use higher torque positions.
