FAQs and Troubleshooting Guide (Cont.)

Toaster isn't working?

If you experience problems with your toaster, check the issues below to ensure it is properly assembled
before you return the appliance to the place of purchase or phone our after-sales support line.
Make sure your toaster is securely plugged in and the power is switched on at the outlet. The toasting
lever will not latch down if there is no power.
If you have recently cleaned the glass panel, make sure the panel is properly installed:
1. To remove the glass panel, hold the toaster with one hand and lightly tilt it backwards. With the
other hand, press the latch at the underside and gently pull out the glass panel (see below left).
Clean the panel.
2. To reinsert the glass penal, lay the toaster on its back, then hold the panel by the latch and
carefully slide it back into the grooves at the side until it clicks securely into place.
IMPORTANT! When reinserting the glass panel, you must ensure that it audibly 'clicks' securely into
place, otherwise the toaster will not work. When the panel 'clicks' into place, a safety switch is activated
(see below right). This will ensure your toaster receives power the next time you connect it to your
electricity supply.
Gently pull out the glass panel in
