Before proceeding with the installation of the
equipment, you must first carefully read the
entire instruction manual and pay special
attention to safety precautions. The installation
site must respect some basic conditions to
guarantee its safety and the proper functioning
of the equipment, namely it must support the
weight of the equipment, plus the other
materials to be installed.
Flamebox appliances do have, as standard, a
connection for external air inlet, the diameter of
the connection is 80mm. If the installation place
does not allow direct admission of air from the
outside to the appliance, the room must be
equipped with an outside air inlet grille that has
a minimum area of 70cm2, in an unobstructed
area. If the house has VMC (controlled
mechanical ventilation), the air inlet grille must
be at least 90cm2.
If it is installed in a room where there is other
burning equipment, an additional air intake
must be considered to ensure the proper
functioning of both equipment.
It is not recommended to install this equipment
in a bedroom or bathroom, as well as in a food
preparation area that has a high-power
extractor/hood.
Before the installation, the future need for
cleaning the duct and maintenance of the
equipment must be considered.

2.3. ELECTRIC CONNECTION

If not available on site, an electrical supply (AC
230-240 V ~ 50 Hz) and an earth connection
must
be
provided

2.4. CHIMNEY AND SMOKE PIPE

It is essential that the existing chimney or the
one
to be
installed complies
regulations and thus guarantees the proper
functioning of the appliance.
Direct connection of the stove's smoke outlet to
a duct made of aluminium, fiber cement or other
unsuitable
material
recommend the use of stainless steel or
double-walled stainless-steel duct that is thick
enough to guarantee good resistance to
temperature and corrosion. The duct, along its
entire length up to the chimney, must be at least
4 meters (400 cm) and must be away from
combustible materials along its entire length or,
if this is not possible, it must be properly
insulated. The duct cannot have deviations of
more than 45º in relation to the vertical, and
each curve requires an increase of 50 cm in
length.
The smoke duct must maintain the same
diameter from the stove outlet to the chimney,
and its weight must not be supported by the
