INSTALLATION
•
Fix the DVG500 EVO 20-4mA vacuum gauge
through the two holes (Fig. 1)
•
Connect the vacuum gauge to the vacuum
pipes using a 1/8" threaded nipple.
Always install the DVG500 EVO device
ABOVE the vacuum line. Do not allow the
vacuum tube to have too narrow bends or basins
which could fill with condensate thus affecting
the correct vacuum value reading
•
Connect the DVG500 EVO device to the
iDrive100 inverter as indicated below
Electrical connection (FIG. 4):
Signal 20-4mA (20mA @ 0kPa)
1. Signal –
2. Signal +
Alarm lamp (output)
3. -24 VDC
4. +24VDC
Power supply (input)
5. -24 VDC
6. +24VDC
The maximum length of the signal cable
going from DVG500 EVO to the inverter is100m
(330ft). The signal cable must not run alongside
other power cables. These cables must cross at
a 90° angle (Fig. 3)
OPERATION
Power: To switch on the device connect the 24VDC
power supply. When switched on, the display shows
the in-use unit of measure:
kPa or "Hg
Vacuum read: After few seconds, the device is on,
the DVG500 EVO 20-4mA starts reading the current
vacuum level and giving the corresponding current
signal.
DVG500 EVO - DIGITAL VACUUM GAUGE
This manual is the property of InterPuls S.p.A. - any copying, even partial, is strictly prohibited.
Set point: If the vacuum reading remains outside
the tolerance ratings of ±1kPa (0.5 PSI) for 30
seconds compared to the selected set point, the
display and the lamp (optional) start flashing slowly
If the vacuum reading differs by more than ±2.0 kPa
(±0.3 PSI) the display and the lamp start flashing
immediately and quickly.
The flashing is automatically interrupted when the
vacuum level is lower than 10kPa (1.45 PSI)
Errors: If an error happens, the error's abbreviation
starts flashing on the display. If the error is
automatically solved, the display shows the vacuum
level and the dot of "Er" turns on. With an instant
push of the button the display shows the stored
errors.
To reset these errors, keep the button pressed for
10 seconds.
E1.C >> short circuit on signal cable 20-4mA
E1.O >> interruption on signal cable 20-4mA
E1.1 >> noise on signal cable 20-4mA
E2.C >> short circuit on lamp cable
E2.O >> interruption on lamp cable
EP.L >> under voltage (<18VDC)
EP.H >> over voltage (>27VDC)
Reset of parameters: Turn on the DVG500 EVO by
keeping pressed the button during the start. To
confirm the reset, the display shows "RST"
PROGRAMMING
To enter in programming mode, keep pressed the
button for 10 seconds. (in case that there are some
stored errors, the first press of 10 seconds resets
the errors and a further one will enter in
programming mode).
Press the button to surf through the parameters.
Keep it pressed for 3 seconds to visualize the value
of the selected parameter and to modify it.
Keep the button pressed for 3 seconds to modify the
value or press it briefly to not change the value.
In both case the display returns to the parameters
list.
To exit from the programming mode, select "ESC"
parameter or wait for 10 seconds.
