Cause
Difficulty in seeing through the filter:
• Filter lenses are dirty;
• Cover lenses are dirty or damaged;
• Lens protection films are still placed;
• Not enough light in the room;
Filter does not darken when the arc is formed:
• Sensors or solar cell blocked;
• The battery is discharged;
• The sensitivity or delay time are too low;
The filter darkens without being formed a welding arc:
• Sensitivity is too high;
The filter remains dark after welding is completed:
• The delay time value is too high;
Uneven darkening:
• Headband has been adjusted unevenly. Distance
between eyes and filter lens is not the same on both
sides;
Solution
• Clean the filter lens;
• Clean or replace cover lenses;
• Remove the protective films;
• Increase lighting in the work area;
• Check that the sensors or solar cell are exposed to the
welding arc and sunlight without blocking;
• Replace the battery;
• Adjust to suitable levels;
• Adjust the sensitivity to the appropriate level;
• Set the delay time to the appropriate level;
• Adjust the headband to achieve the proper distance
between your eyes and the filter;
