Initial use

Installing the light

Make sure it is firmly positioned. Do not use any force when assem-
bling or installing the product, e.g. striking with a hammer. This will
damage the product. For optimal results, install the solar light in a
location where the solar cell will be exposed to direct sunlight for
a long time.
Push the assembled solar light far enough into the ground (lawn,
flower bed) so it is stable. Please note the assembly steps in chap-
ter "Assembling the light".
Be sure the solar cell will not be affected by other light sources, e.g.
outdoor or street lighting, or the light will not switch on at dusk.
The light will automatically switch on in low light and switch off at
normal ambient brightness.

Replacing the rechargeable battery

For optimal results, replace the battery every 12 months.
This product uses a rechargeable battery type AAA 1.2 V 300 mAh
Ni-MH (included).
Slide the ON / OFF switch
Flip up the solar cell housing / battery compartment
Use a cross-tip screwdriver to unscrew the fastening screws. Then use
a slotted screwdriver to pry open the battery cover on the solar cell
housing

Replace the old battery with a new one; be careful not to damage
the cables. Please note the polarity when inserting the battery. This
is shown inside the battery compartment
