RodiFix AirProtect
RodiFix AirProtect is approved for two different types of fitting:
1. "Universal" with the vehicle's 3-point safety belt.
In other words: the car seat is approved for fitting with a controlled
3-point automatic safety belt (approved in accordance with the ECE R 16
standard or a comparable standard) in all vehicles.
• This is a "universal" child restraint mechanism. The mechanism is
approved for general use in vehicles, in accordance with the ECE R 44/04
standard, and is suitable for most, though not all, vehicle seats.
• Correct fitting is possible if, in the user handbook, the vehicle
manufacturer states that the vehicle is designed for a "universal" child
restraint mechanism for that age band.
• This restraint mechanism has been included in the "universal" category
after testing under stricter conditions than previous models, which do
not carry this description.
• In case of doubt, please consult the manufacturer or distributor of the
child restraint mechanism.
2. "Semi-universal" with the RodiFix AirProtect connectors
locked onto the ISOFIX attachment points + the vehicle's
3-point safety belt.
In other words: the car seat may also be fixed in place with the RodiFix
AirProtect connectors locked onto the vehicle's ISOFIX attachment
points.
This type of fitting is only authorised for vehicles which appear in the list
of vehicle types shown as an appendix.
• This list of vehicle types is constantly being updated. To obtain the most
recent version, please consult our website www.bebeconfort.com.
• Warning! Your child should always be strapped in
using the vehicle's 3-point safety belt.
• Note! In certain vehicles there is limited protection above the backrest.
When you install RodiFix AirProtect with the RodiFix AirProtect
connectors locked onto the ISOFIX attachment points in these vehicles,
it is possible you may not be able to use the car seat up to a height of
1.50 m. This is the case, for example, when the RodiFix AirProtect
headrest touches the upright of the vehicle.
