GAS REQUIREMENTS

The connection between the regulator and the hose must comply with local regulations.
•
Never use a gas cylinder with a damaged body, valve, collar or base.
•
Rusty or dented gas cylinders can be dangerous and should be checked by a gas supplier.
•
Never connect this appliance to an unregulated gas source.
•
When the appliance is not in use, turn off the gas supply at the source.
•
Always check the connections for leaks when a gas supply is connected. If bubbles form in the soap
solution, do not use the appliance. Never use an open flame to check for leaks.
CONNECTION TO GAS TANK
•
It is advisable to use a 13kg Propane gas cylinder. You can use a 6kg compact gas cylinder, Butane
(less efficient) or Propane is preferable if the temperature is close to 0°C.
•
Do not connect the gas bottle directly to the appliance without a regulator.
•
The flexible tube or hose must be changed within the prescribed time.
•
Only use the type of gas and cylinder indicated in these instructions.
•
Contact your gas supplier for instructions on how to use their product.
•
Replace the gas set point in the open air only or in a well-ventilated area away from open flames
and sources of ignition.
•
The gas cylinder must always be used in an upright position.
•
Turn off the heater by turning the switch N fully clockwise to the OFF position.
•
Close the gas valve and connect the regulator to the cylinder.
•
Tighten all fittings securely using a suitable spanner where necessary.
•
The minimum distance between the appliance and the gas cylinder is 50cm.
•
Check the connections for leaks using soapy water. If you find a leak, tighten the gasket and retest.
Note : Please use 13kg gas cylinders or 6kg compact cylinders of butane or propane that
comply with the current standard. Use a regulator with a safety rating of 37mbar for Propane or
28mbar for Butane. The connection must be made using a 1.5m (maximum) supply hose and
G1/2 screw connection: make sure that the hose is not deformed, that the connection joint corres-
ponds and that it is in good condition. The hose must not be subjected to excessive twisting or ben-
ding. Change the supply hose before the expiry date or when it is damaged.
