House number light with motion detector LLH 629
House number light with motion detector LLH
629 In buying this item, you have chosen a
high-quality GEV product. Please read these
user instructions carefully to ensure the device
is used correctly. Keep them in a safe place for
future reference.
Operation/Intended use
When twilight falls, the house number light with
motion detector switches on at the basic setting of
20% light power, switching off again at daybreak.
The activation time is set using the twilight switch.
At night, when the in-built motion detector
senses moving heat sources (e.g. people, cars
and animals), it turns the light up to 100% light
power. 20% lighting power is restored once the
preset time has elapsed. The dimmer function can
be switched off. In this case, the house number
light operates like a conventional motion detector.
Static heat sources do not switch the house
number light detector on. The motion detector can
be adjusted to suit local conditions.
Safety instructions
This device must be installed by a
technician
in
accordance
with
applicable regulations.
The electrical power supply and circuit
protection must be switched off throughout the
entire installation process.
Please check that the connection cable is
disconnected!
Under no circumstances does the warranty cover
damage resulting from failure to observe these
instructions. Nor do we accept liability for any
indirect damage. Similarly, we can accept no
liability for any material damage or bodily injury
caused by mishandling or failure to observe the
safety instructions. In these cases, no warranty
claim may be made. In addition, for safety and
compliance reasons, the house number light must
not be dismantled or altered in any way.
Caution! Burn hazard! The light can
become extremely hot. Let it cool down
suffi ciently before attempting to replace
the bulb.
Mounting location
Motion detection is maximised when movement
occurs at an angle to the motion detector.
Therefore, the motion detector should be installed
in a position that ensures that objects/people do
not move directly towards the device.
The house number light is suitable for wall
mounting.
Installation
Install the light as shown in Fig. A-C. Connect
the mains connection cable as shown in the
circuit diagram (Fig. E). Use a G9 bulb (check
the maximum load!). Stick the house number on
the cover (Fig. D). Close the cover (Fig. F) after
making all necessary adjustments and switch the
circuit protection back on.
Settings (Fig. G)
LUX Twilight switch approx. 3 to 1000 lux
TIME Time setting for the ON period approx.
5 sec. – 12 min.
HI/LOW
HI = The house number light LLH operates as a
motion detector. If the ambient lighting level is lo-
wer than the preset light value (LUX), the slightest
movement will trigger the detector.
LOW = When twilight falls, the house number light
LLH switches the basic setting on at 20% light
power. It turns up to 100% light power if movement
is detected. 20% lighting power is restored once
the preset time has elapsed.
Test mode/Walk test
Turn the LUX controller towards the sun symbol as
far as it will go.
Turn the TIME controller towards the minus symbol
as far as it will go.
Set the HI/LOW controller to LOW.
If the house number light is switched on via a
separate light switch, switch this on. The house
number light will now switch on for approx. 5
seconds in response to any movement, regardless
the
of the ambient lighting level.
This test mode is designed to help you accurately
set the right fi eld of detection. The motion detector
can be adjusted horizontally (Fig. H).
After setting the fi eld of detection, you can adjust
the individual settings. When you have fi nished,
replace the cover as shown in Fig. F.
Recycling instructions
