that permits 360° rotation by oper-
ating the lever (N) (Fig. 9.1) to easily
switch from the rear-facing position
(Fig. 9.2) to the forward-facing position
(9.3). When travelling the car seat must
be locked in either the rear-facing or
forward-facing position and seat rota-
tion indicator (O) must be green.
Rotating the seat by 90° to face the
parent (Fig. 9.4) can be helpful when
removing the child from the car seat,
but it is not a travel position, and the
indicator (O) will therefore remain red.
WARNING! NEVER use the car seat in
the 90° position while travelling, this
position is only meant for putting the
child in the seat before travel and re-
moving the child after travel.
7. USING THE CAR SEAT IN THE
REAR-FACING POSITION: Gr. 0+
(0-13 kg) and Gr. 1 (9-18 kg) / 0-4
years
When using the car seat in the Group
0+ (0-13 kg) configuration, it must
ALWAYS be installed in the rear-facing
position using the Isofix connectors
and the support leg.
For the Group 1 (from 9 kg and up to
18 kg) configuration, installation in the
rear-facing position is optional but
strongly ADVISED to provide greater
safety for the child.
• Installing the car seat on the seat of
the vehicle with Isofix and support
leg (see paragraph 5. ISOFIX AND
SUPPORT LEG INSTALLATION).
• Check the presence of the reducer
on the basis of the instructions for
use (see paragraph 8. USE OF THE
REDUCER FOR INFANTS).
• Position the car seat in the for-
ward-facing position and act on the
reclining lever (M) to recline the car
seat fully until position 4 is reached
(Fig. 10) then rotate into the rear-fac-
ing position (Fig. 9.2) making sure
that the car seat is reclined in posi-
tion 1.
• Rotate the seat of the car seat using
the lever (N) until it is positioned at
90°, facing the parent, to facilitate
placing the child in the car seat. (fig.
9.4).
PLACING THE CHILD IN THE SEAT:
• Press the belt adjustment button (K)
and hold and pull both the car seat
harnesses toward yourself until the
maximum length is reached (Fig.
11.1).
• Unbuckle the car seat belts by press-
ing the red button on the buckle (Fig.
11.2).
• Hook the two buckle tongues of the
belt to the sides of the car seat to facil-
itate placing the child in the seat (Fig.
11.3).
• Place the baby in the car seat with
care, join the two buckle tongues
and fasten them in the buckle again
(Fig. 11.4).
• To adjust belt tightness, pull the ad-
justment strap (L) upwards with cau-
tion until the belt is suitably tight (Fig.
11.5).
• Rotate the car seat into the rear-fac-
ing position making sure that the
seat is locked in place (the indicator
(O) must be green) (Fig. 9.2) and that
the car seat is in position No. 1.
