Maintain visual inspection during the pressing procedure!
After a completed pressing operation the jaw is opened by pressing the jaw lever.
Caution!
The nominal width and the pressing contour of the fitting must match the nominal width and contour
of the jaw. If this is not true faulty pressings will result. Always follow the mounting instructions of
the fittings manufacturer!

There must be no contamination, swarf or suchlike in the pressing contour of the jaw and the fitting.
If this is not true faulty pressings will result.
Danger!
Never put fingers or other body parts inside the inner area of the jaw. Risk of injury!

Caution!
The jaw must be regularly inspected for damage. Older jaws can break if damage already exists
(microcracks etc.). Worn contours lead to faulty pressings. If damage is visible the jaw may not be
used any more and must be sent to the VIRAX after-sales service for assessment of the fitness for use.
Regularly check the condition of the jaws. Check proper closing of the jaws. Clean the jaws with a pad of
the ScotchBrite type. Do not use metal files or other highly abrasive metals which may damage the
crimping profile. Maintain the crimping profile clean and check its wear before each use. Regularly
lubricate the pins and spring of your jaws. Do not lubricate inside the crimping profile. The jaws are
considered as being consumables. Change your jaws upon the first signs of wear.

requested (invoice or delivery bill).
