Application
Gliese is a radiant heating panel that fits most
environments and is suitable for heating
areas with limited space, such as cottages and
bathrooms. The heater is a cost effective and
flexible alternative to floor heating. Gliese is
mounted horizontally on the wall or in the
ceiling and provides effective protection against
cold drafts when mounted above windows.
Protection class, wall mounting: IP44.
Protection class, ceiling mounting: IP21.
Mounting
Gliese is installed horizontally e.g. at the ceiling
angle above the window. Wall brackets are
included. Ceiling mounting kit is available as
an accessory. To simplify mounting, a tool
is attached on each of the wall brackets.
For minimum distance, see diagrams on
introductory pages.
Wall mounting
See pictures in introduction pages.
1. Detach the tools from the wall brackets. Save
them for later use. Fig.1.
2. Mount the wall brackets on the wall
according to the dimensional drawing. Fig.2.
3. Fold the lower tab using the tool as shown.
Fig.3.
4. Hang the upper edge of the heater (the
aluminum profile) on the brackets. In order
to maintain the protection class IP44 be sure
to put the correct side up (the Frico logotype
is facing the right direction). Fig.4.
5. Fold in the lower edge of the profile towards
the bracket. Fig.5.
6. Fix the lower edge of the profile by turning
back the tabs on the wall brackets using the
tool as shown. Turn the tabs until it stops.
The tabs on the wall brackets will then point
almost straight down. At the same time,
wiggle the profile so that the tabs end up in
end position. The profile should not rattle
against the wall brackets. This step should be
