Double insulation

To ensure maximum safety of the user, our tools are designed and built to
satisfy applicable European standards (EN standards). Tools with double in-
sulation are marked by the international symbol of a double square. These
tools must not be grounded and a two-wire cable is sufficient to supply
them with power. Tools are shielded in accordance with EN 55014.
Use
The machine is designed for splitting, roughing and brushing metal and
stone materials without the use of water. For cutting stone, a cutting guide
is required.
The user himself is liable for any improper use.
Protective elements and their
assembly
The grinder may be used with mounted protective guard only!
Attention! Prior to handling the accessories, the power supply cable has
always to be disconnected from the power source socket.
Protective guard
Attention! The protective guard intended only and exclusively for work
with the grinding wheels is the integral part of the standard angular
grinder outfit. When cutting, the angular grinder has to be equipped by
the protective guard intended for work with the cutting wheels; it can
be purchased in the trade network under the order No. 00 763 303 for
ø 180 mm. Failing to use the guard for cutting, you run the increased
risk of injury and in this case (non-use of the special guard for cutting)
the company Narex is not liable anyhow for possible harm of health of
the user or another person injured as the consequence of breach of the
safety rules.
Loosen the clamping lever (11). Fit the guard (9) onto the spindle collar (6).
The guiding pad (10) must fit into the groove on the spindle collar. Put the
guard (9) into a suitable operating position and firmly tighten the collar
with the clamping lever (11). Due to the safety reasons, it is necessary to
tighten the ensioning nut (12) by means of torque moment 3+0,5 Nm.

Additional handle
Special construction "VIBRASTOP" regulates the vibrations with auxiliary
handle (8). Auxiliary handle can be screwed from the left or right side of
gearbox (5). Some operations may require the handle screwed to the top
of gearbox.
Grinding or cutting wheel fixing
Attention! Prior to handling the accessories, the power supply cable has
always to be disconnected from the power source socket.
Mounting with the standard clamping nut
Clean the bottom flange (13) and the clamping nut (15) as well as the
clamping surfaces of the grinding or cutting wheel. Place the bottom
flange (13) (by the recess out) on the spindle (7). Place the grinding (14) or
cutting wheel (19). The bottom flange recess (13) must be inserted precisely
into the grinding wheel (14) or the cutting wheel (19) hole. Then put the
clamping nut (15) on the spindle (7) so that when fixing the grinding wheel
(14), the clamping nut recess (18) must be faced towards the wheel and when
fixing the cutting wheel (19), the clamping nut recess (18) must be directed
from the wheel!
Depress the lock spindle pin (4).
Attention! Use the lock spindle pin only if the spindle is at rest and the
grinder is de-energized.
Swivel the wheel /spindle, until the lock spindle pin (4) is engaged. Tighten
the clamping nut (15) firmly, using the wrench (16). Prior to start the grind-
er verify that the wheel does not rotate freely.
Mounting with quick-clamping nut
The quick-clamping nut must be tightened or loosened by hand only (never
use any additional tool!). Mounting of the grinding or cutting wheel is the
same like for the grinder without the quick-clamping nut, with the sole
difference, that after spindle locking the quick-clamping nut (17) may be
tightened by hand only.
Attention! Do not tighten the quick-clamping nut without the wheel
not to damage its mechanism!

Putting into operation

Check whether the data on the rating plate match with the real power
supply voltage. The tool intended for 230 V~ may be also connected to
220/240 V~. Check whether the plug type corresponds to the socket type.
Switching on- off
Push the safety lock-off lever (2) forwards to release the On/Off switch lever
(1). At the same time, press the on-off switch lever (1) to start the grinder
and release it to stop.
Continuous operation
Push the safety lock-off lever (2) forwards to release the On/Off switch lever
(1). At the same time, press the on-off switch lever (1) and push the safety
lock-off lever (2) forwards. To turn off continuous operation, press and re-
lease the on-off switch (1) again.
Control Electronics
Increases productivity, service life of the grinding machine, comfort at work,
quality and safety of labour. Its features are as follows:
Restart protection
If power supply is interrupted at work (disconnection of the supply cable
plug, tripping, cutout, etc.) and the switch remains arrested in the ON posi-
tion, after resumption of power supply the machine will not be restarted
automatically. To start the grinding machine, the switch has to be switched
OFF at first and ON afterwards.
