g. Remove all the slack from the chain by turning
the chain-tensioning knob (O) in the "+"
direction until the chain seats snugly against
the guide bar with the drive links in the guide
bar groove.
h. Lift the tip of the guide bar up and pull outward
to check for sag (Fig. 8g & 8h). Release the tip
of the guide bar and turn the chain-tensioning
knob once in the "+" direction. Repeat this
process until the sag is eliminated.
NOTICE: If the chain is too tight, it will not rotate.
Loosen the tensioning knob slightly (turn it in the
"–" direction. Lift the tip of the guide bar up and
retighten the side cover knob securely. Assure that
the chain will rotate without binding.
